说明书标题式与欧氏几何完美结合 Ignacio Uriarte「如何定义空间」
北京讯—德国艺术家Ignacio Uriarte在北京空白空间(White Space Beijing)的第二回个展于2017年12月16日至2018年2月9日举行。本次展览呈现该艺术家的最新创作,作品涵盖绘画、纸制装置和影像。 这次展览中,Uriarte通过说明书标题式的展览题目和欧氏几何的基本元素阐释其对抽象空间的理解。“空间”在数学意义上是一组具有添加结构的集合。艺术家借用这种概念,为作品设置不同的外加条件,在两个展厅中各自强调了“色彩”和“运动”与空间构成的联系。同时, Uriarte将展厅内部的对称布局作为社会约束和文化规范的视觉比喻,测试既定空间和已知参数的边界,寻找限制下存在的可能性,并呈现社会中个体自由的限度。 在一个展厅里,Uriarte结合建筑和编舞,以黑白的正负空间、直线、锯齿和涂鸦线团的矩阵营造空间变化。《纵向菱形迭代》受到迭代现象的启发创作。在数学中,迭代是在已得结果中重复反馈过程的活动。与之相应,直线作为这件作品中的“过程”在设定系统内被反复描绘。放射状直线逐渐组成尺寸、方向各异的菱形群,连同与之互补的负空间形成整体的网格结构,创造持续变化的运动流。 《负光矩阵》由25幅绘画组成。每幅绘画中,密集的直线从纸面边缘向内汇聚并相交于一点,交汇点随着绘画在矩阵中的位置而变化。每个画面的内部和外部似乎都有一种离心力相互作用,控制着矩阵中每个交汇点的位置和变化。在另一侧展厅中,Uriarte延续了他对典型办公文具的发掘,通过细微调整特定标准设定下的物体和色彩,呈现其对标准化和空间感知的进一步思考。 《DIN-System》利用线团密度和德国标准化协会(DIN)设定的纸张尺寸营造空间递进。四张A0纸分别由办公四色(黑、蓝、红、绿)的涂鸦线团填满,画面内部从右上方至左下角由A1递减为A4大小的四个平面,平面的浓度随着面积减半而增强。

洛杉矶讯—「《字为体 书为舆》中美艺术家联展」将于2018年1月16日至2月16日在洛杉矶拜欧拉大学(Biola University)展出。本次展览共展出42位来自中美两国艺术家的57件作品。艺术家们以艺术作品的形式探索中文汉字的传统与应用,以及汉字载体的形式与演变,向美国观众呈现中国汉字艺术和书籍装帧的魅力。此次活动由「美国大学中国艺术家学会 – 暨穿越分界论坛」主办,拜欧拉大学承办。 此次展览作品通过形式多样的艺术表现,发掘、彰显汉字的美感特质,展示数千年来汉字的演变与发展、书籍装帧的美学价值。汉语作为世界上最多人使用的沟通载体,塑造出中国文化的独特身份。在当下全球化的语境中,艺术家大胆地跨越语言应用的边界,用艺术作品启迪观者去思考文化差异和融合的问题。 这些艺术作品中有以表现汉语语言的发展来隐喻社会文化的变迁,表达了艺术家们对于语言沟通载体的变化以及对社会发展的思考。还有一些艺术作品引发观众去思考在全球化和信息技术时代下,传统的中文写作系统与现代高科技数字表达之间妙趣横生的互动关系。 此次艺术展汇聚了一批中美两国高校当代著名艺术家的作品,包括徐冰,陈放,陈慰平,陈楠,迟迅,崔斐,Kerri Cushman,范舟,高霞,戴汉至,韩湛宁,Pouya Jahanshahi,计宇,梁蓝波,李迪,李少波,李倩,蒋临夏,刘春梅,刘君成,刘勤,刘钊,Susan Messer,冯启辉,任喆,商徐宏,沈达,史文华,泰祥洲,王琛,王志俊,肖勇,徐瑞鸽,谢小泽,杨宏伟,张利,张乃军,张晓红,赵清,周晨,周洪涛,左映雪。 此外,本次展览还包括了从“汉字之美”展览中甄选出来的数幅作品。“汉字之美”全球青年设计大赛是由首都文化创新与文化传播工程研究院发起并主办的国际汉字创意设计比赛,由著名文化学者于丹教授为发起人和大赛总召集人。 2018年2月5号上午10时,拜欧拉大学艺术传媒学院将在Andrews Banquet Hall举行题为《字为体 书为舆》的学术研讨会,届时来自美中各艺术高校的艺术家与学者将针对中国艺术教育比较的问题进行座谈讨论。 下午1时,著名美术史学者沈揆一教授和Jonathan Stalling教授将分别针对中国当代艺术,以及全球时代下的艺术创作经验进行主题发言。 下午6时,这次《字为体,书为輿》展览开幕仪式将在E&V 格林艺术画廊举行。 … More
