香港—洛杉矶艺术家詹妮弗·圭迪 (Jennifer Guidi)的「日心说」(Heliocentric)将于3月26日至5月12日在香港高古轩画廊(Gagosian)展出。展览将展出圭迪的沙画新作,这是艺术家于高古轩画廊举行的首场展览,也是她在亚洲的首场个展。 圭迪的「沙画」混合油彩和沙粒,塑造出色彩和质感起伏多变的表面。这些沙画由她早期的具象作品演变而成,巧妙地游走于具象与抽象之间,虽然令人想起风景画与自然主义画作的传统,但却回避一切具体的指称。圭迪的作品呼应大自然与自然现象,往往捕捉几乎难以察觉的动感与光影交替的瞬间。作品的用色明亮,展现宛如浮雕的质感,记录和呈现感觉的微妙变化,既反映大自然的变化,也塑造独特的感官领域。 在我早期的抽象沙画中,我以不同粗幼的棍子随意绘画,但我并不满意那些图案。当我设定一个中心点,然后围绕中心点创作后,一切便变得不同了。重复的图案和动作开始令人进入冥想的状态. . .—詹妮弗·圭迪 (Jennifer Guidi) 圭迪在创作时会先处理「底色」,随之将沙以厚涂的层次抹在仍然湿润的颜料上,然后以木钉仔细而重复地在沙上绘画图案,并会在圆形凹洞的边缘添加彩沙和颜料,直至图案如沉积或侵蚀作用一样嵌入画布之中。她会在画布中央的左侧留白,模拟人体内心脏的位置,然后不断向外离心旋转延续,宛如日出时照亮大地的晨光。透过这种系统性而随心而行的创作过程,每幅画作展现一种有条不紊的和谐状态,而圭迪的绘画手法也令人想起强调细节与重复动作的极简主义流派。她富有表现力的技法也明显呼应各种非西方的创作手法,以令人陷入沉思的绘画方式,作为一种意象、叙述性或灵性的献祭。 圭迪对色彩和光线的感知,以及两者实质展现方式的理解,皆源自她在洛杉矶对光线的观察。她在洛杉矶居住和从事创作,受西岸的大气状况和城市的污染影响,当地的天气盖上一层朦胧的烟霞,因而造就份外耀眼的日落美景。色彩在画作上展开,从坑纹之中散射开来,由浅至深,时而在类似风景的形态之中绽放光芒,时而透过画作折射,犹如日出和日落时随着大气粒子的浓度而变化的光波。于《本能力量》(Force of Instinct (Painted Universe Mandala SF #1G, Sunset Sky, … More

豪瑟沃斯画廊(Hauser & Wirth)本月8日正式宣布将在全球范围内代理中国艺术家曾梵志(Zeng Fanzhi)。 曾梵志多元、创新的绘画创作使他成为世界上最著名的在世艺术家之一。在迄今为止三十余年的职业生涯中,曾梵志多次挑战传统,不断推陈出新,屡见突破,呈现出多样化的绘画风格,形成了一个丰富的作品体系。他除了于艺术创作上重新定义了绘画的原则外,更于2011年创立并持续资助“梵志艺术与教育基金会”(The Fanzhi Foundation for Art and Education),为中国艺术的发展创造机会,并为未来打下基础,从多方面塑造了中国当代艺术的面貌。 豪瑟沃斯画廊指出,期待通过一系列展览、公共活动、出版项目、以及全新的学术研究策略等,进一步拓展曾梵志的国际形象,同时亦将与艺术家联手推出一系列注重教育和学术质量的活动;除了代理艺术家之外,豪瑟沃斯将与“梵志艺术与教育基金会”建立长久的合作关系,与全球多家机构合作,支持并推广艺术和文化相关活动。 曾梵志,1964年出生于湖北武汉市,1991年毕业于湖北美术学院油画系。从二十世纪九十年代起,曾梵志的创作以其独特的语言风格和敏锐的社会批判,受到评论界广泛的赞誉。曾梵志被认为是当代中国较具代表性和国际影响的艺术家之一。 曾梵志的《面具》系列作品最获关注,这一系列作品主要探讨九十年代中国转型所引致的身份与孤立问题。他的《面具系列1996年第6号》在2008年刷新了中国当代艺术的单件纪录。2013年曾梵志的作品《最后的晚餐》,(2001年作,油彩画布,220×395 )拍出1.8亿港元,成亚洲最贵当代艺术品。 曾梵志并不是豪瑟沃斯代理的首位中国艺术家,早在2006年,中国画家张恩利便加入成为画廊代理的首位中国艺术家。 豪瑟沃斯画廊表示,此次曾梵志的加入,标志着画廊向前迈出了重要的一步,在全球的影响力日益渐广。豪瑟沃斯在亚洲的首个画廊空间将于2018年3月26日在位于香港中环的全新艺术地标H Queen’s大楼隆重开幕。
