Alberto Perera is a Mexico-based performer and long-standing collaborator of Pia Camil. Alberto uses exaggeration, transvestism, humour and trash culture references to talk about artificial identities and the beauty industry. This talk will touch upon the creation of multiple identities within the same body, and the collaboration with Pia Camil.

Alberto Perera (Barcelona, 1989) studied Fashion in Bau Design College of Barcelona and has been working about identity and the body. Amon the projects he has participated in are: Posar el cos. Activismes feministes i queer at CCCB in Barcelona; Sissy That Walk (2015) at Border Cultural Centre; “Walk of Pride” (2017) at Spanish Cultural Centre in Mexico. He also performed at Material Art Fair (2018) with his project Bettie Tiniebla; C7 (2018) and in Galería Karen Huber collaborating with collective erreerrede (2018). Alberto has exhibited his illustrations and fanzines in Museo Universitario del Chopo (2014), Gutterfest (2017) and Fundación Alumnos 47 (2018).
